Chris Carmona is a filmmaker and creative from Bell, California in Southeast Los Angeles. After becoming the youngest director ever to win The Academy's (AMPAS) final Team Oscar competition (2015), he then wrote, directed, and edited his debut feature film Bad Labor at age 19. The $700 action thriller was a LALIFF 2018 official selection, premiering opening night at the Hollywood Chinese Theatres.
In 2019, his romcom mini-series Instant Crush was produced by we are Mitú and distributed via Facebook, YouTube & Instagram. He is an alumnus of the HBO Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today Fellowship and a founding member of the film collective NUEVO HOLLYWOOD.
He also co-hosts The Us Podcast and is currently in pre-production for his sophomore motion picture: These Foos.
